Dear Members, Friends and Neighbors,
When I moved to Wilmot four years ago, I received the perfect gift: a membership to the Wilmot Community Association (WCA). I was immediately struck by the warmth and generosity of the people I met at the WCA. The Red Barn is truly a vibrant focal point for the community. Volunteering and taking part in WCA activities has helped me meet many wonderful people.
Most WCA programs are free and open to the public. As the new president, I am excited by the positive energy our many programs and events generate. The future at the WCA is bright and I am energized by the possibilities.
The money raised during our annual fund drive helps the WCA keep the doors open, the lights on and the building warm in winter and cool in summer. It also helps fund special initiatives. This year, we are making playground improvements at Timothy Patten Park. Work at the Red Barn includes refinishing the oak floors and establishing an art gallery in the function room. A portable stage and expanding our children’s programs are high on our wish list.
Every dollar counts and your gift moves us closer to our $10,000 goal. For your convenience, you can safely and securely donate online. Thank you for your generous support and all you do to enhance our community.
Nancy Large, president
WCA Board of Directors
